Laurel is our general farm manager, and the member of our family with the most farming experience (having worked on small farms in CT and MA since 2017). Laurel is passionate about native North American plants (especially pawpaws), bringing awareness to local & sustainable foods, and creating beautiful fresh and dried flower arrangements. An aspiring shepherd, Laurel dreams of someday having a small fiber flock at Crooked Moon. Along with co-founders Jey & Ezra, Laurel makes and sells artwork and crafts (both locally and online) in addition to farm work.

Jey is the resident chicken-whisperer, plant tender & kitchen expert on the farm, bringing gardening experience and a spirit of adventure in cooking up new recipes with our fresh ingredients. When not out in the field, making flower wreaths, or teaching chickens to do tricks for oats, Jey can be found behind a drawing board working on comics & freelance illustration, or crafting sculptures and jewelry for the next local maker’s market.

Ezra is Crooked Moon’s public ambassador & web/social media caretaker, in addition to lending a general hand around the farm. Ezra’s love of farming is interconnected with Jewish values and agricultural traditions, a fascination with the natural world, and an enthusiasm for local community-building. Ezra is a part-time educator, freelance illustrator, zinester & lover of creative collaboration.

Buggy is the farm cryptid-of-all-trades, coming to the rescue whenever there’s a job that needs doing. Buggy’s non-farm activities are a highly guarded secret.
